A residential unit combined with a hair salon, the ‘TYM House,’ designed by no.555, features an interesting use of space that promotes natural light and privacy.
Partially due to the amazing photography of Torimura Koichi, the TYM House embodies a strong sense of serenity and peace. The architects went as far as to design an outer facade that serves as a barrier to street noise, as well as an intermediary to separate itself from neighboring buildings.
The clinical interior beautifully reflects the narrow light entering from the slit windows. Whereas most people would enjoy the view they have outside of their homes, if I had a chance to live in the TYM House, I would be satisfied just looking around its interior all day long.

I love the minimalistic design of the facade. And plus, I always wanted to be able to get my hair done 20 feet from where I live.
